Wisdom and Words

Words...

We are all capable of doing great things.

The multifaceted tool we know as “word”

Is always at our disposal

In fact, it is weird not to use it

Asides those limited or with some sort of impairment, (Though they engage it in a non-verbal manner)

It is one of the ways verbal self expression is possible

As a tool, like knife

In the hands of chef, it’s shreds and dices

In the hands of a surgeon, it reveals what is hidden and hurting

In the hands of a butcher, it places the mighty bull on a plater

In the hands of an unrestrained gangster, it digs six feet just in a short fuse

Some say it’s free ( ò fé lohùn - Yoruba)

Others have concluded that it cheap (“Talk is cheap”)

Yet some have its irrevocable like a broken egg (éyín lòrò - Yoruba)

I tell you it is either a building block in the hands of construction engineer

Or a wrecking ball hanging on a crane

Hmmm

More venomous is withholding from using it when it can save a life

How has words influenced you?

What scripture inspires you on this subject?

This can be what someone needs.
